This is no secret: I read lots of what would be considered “academic theology.” The thing is, I don’t read it to be an academic, per se. What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be free? These are the types of questions that have often plagued the Christian theological dialogue for centuries. Indeed, these theoanthropological loci have been the source of much consternation and division; that is, depending on how disparate Christian thinkers conclude on an answer to these questions.
